While it is recommended that both partners attend couples therapy, sometimes only one partner is ready to engage in counselling. If this describes your situation, you can still start individual counselling to explore your options within the relationship. This will allow you to discuss what changes you can control to improve the relationship.
If you find yourself consistently attracting the "wrong type" of relationships and experiencing the same challenging patterns in all of your interactions, it may be time to break the cycle.
Individual relationship counselling can help you identify these toxic patterns and improve your self-worth, allowing you to gain the confidence to ask for what you truly need. Helping you to attract the right person for you and grow strong and healthy future relationships.
Individual counselling sessions are approximately 50 minutes long. However, I recommend allowing an hour for the first session, as this is a discovery session to gain a deeper insight into what is going on for you.
Couples Counselling sessions go for 60 minutes. Each couple will have an individual 30 minute session at the start of the couples counselling journey.
Individual Counselling Sessions are $120 for 50 minutes.
Couple's Counselling Sessions are $190 for 60 minutes.
Although there is no set frequency for how often you have your sessions, Many people will start weekly and then begin to come less frequently when they are travelling well. You are in control and rebook when it suits you.
The amount of sessions required is entirely up to you. Depending on how complex some of your life issues are and what goals you want to achieve, you may want more or fewer sessions. The average amount of sessions is 8-20. Most people start weekly and come less frequently when they feel more in control of their life and have assistance with challenges that come up.
Many people have ongoing counselling as monthly support throughout life. Engaging in counselling is a journey and does require a few sessions to get the benefits.
