Individual counselling sessions typically last 50 minutes, while couples counselling sessions are 60 minutes. For your first session, it's a good idea to allow an hour for a thorough discovery process. Couples counselling also includes initial 40-minute individual sessions for each partner.
Individual Counselling Sessions are $120 for 50 minutes.
Couple's Counselling Sessions are $190 for 60 minutes.
The frequency of counselling sessions is entirely up to you. Many people start with weekly sessions to build momentum and then transition to less frequent visits as they progress. You're in charge—book sessions as they fit your needs and goals.
The amount of sessions required is entirely up to you. Depending on how complex some of your life issues are and what goals you want to achieve, you may want more or fewer sessions. The average amount of sessions is 8-20. Most people start weekly and come less frequently when they feel more in control of their life and have assistance with challenges that come up.
Many people have ongoing counselling as monthly support throughout life. Engaging in counselling is a journey and does require a few sessions to get the benefits.
TeleHealth is online counselling. It enables you to have counselling in the safety and comfort of your home.
Once you book an appointment, you will receive an invite for your chosen appointment time. Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. Just before your appointment time, click on the appointment link on your phone, tablet, PC or laptop.
TeleHealth counselling is safe and secure. You will receive a unique link for each session, which is encrypted and ensures that our conversations are confidential.
The main difference is convenience. Not having to commute to your appointment, find parking or use public transport saves you valuable time and money. Many people enjoy the convenience of doing sessions from the comfort of their home.
Much research shows that the benefits of counselling in-person or online via Telehealth are the same for treating psychological issues. It is more about your personal preference.
Yes, I offer an all-inclusive practice and provide a safe, supportive environment for all clients.
No, you do not need a referral to make an appointment.
Sessions are not covered by Medicare or Mental Health Care Plans.
