About Me

Hi, I'm Jessica,

I'm an attachment-based counsellor and psychotherapist supporting individuals and couples across Australia — and if you've found your way here, I have a feeling something I say might resonate with you.

Maybe you feel anxious in relationships. Maybe you over-think, over-give, and still end up feeling unseen. Maybe conflict with your partner feels like it goes in circles, or you keep finding yourself in the same painful patterns — wondering if something is wrong with you.

I know that feeling. Because I've lived it.

My Story

I came to counselling through my own experience of anxious attachment and a long history of insecure, painful relationships. For years, I felt stuck in cycles I couldn't understand or break free from — until I began exploring the why behind my patterns.

That journey led me to attachment theory, and it changed everything.

Understanding how my early experiences had shaped the way I connected with others gave me — for the first time — a map. A way to make sense of my fears, my reactions, and my needs. My now-husband has an avoidant attachment style; I had an anxious one. Together, we did the work. And today, we're more securely connected than I ever thought possible.

That experience is what drives my work. I know from the inside what it takes to shift from anxious or avoidant patterns toward something more secure — and I feel genuinely privileged to walk that path with my clients.

My Approach

I work with individuals and couples using a blend of evidence-based modalities tailored specifically to you:

  • Attachment-Based Therapy — understanding how your past shapes your present relationships

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — rebuilding emotional safety and connection

  • Gottman Method — practical tools for communication and conflict resolution

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) — developing psychological flexibility and self-compassion

  • Art Therapy — a creative, embodied way to explore what words sometimes can't reach

My approach is warm, collaborative, and free of judgement. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all model — each person and each couple brings their own story, and that's what we work with.

I support:
